Your hosts for a Romantic Coeur d'Alene Getaway

We have always enjoyed staying in a variety of Bed & Breakfast Inns. It was only natural, after we retired, that we open our own B&B. After our five children left the nest, we retired from our 8-5’s and began searching for the perfect location.
Five years of dreaming and planning for the perfect romantic B&B resulted in the creation of American Country Bed and Breakfast! The five acres and the lovely B&B provide Shar, a former elementary teacher and librarian, with ample opportunities to enjoy her passions for reading, antiquing, gardening, decorating and cooking. It also gives Brian, who spent his previous life in construction and the home inspection business, space for his many building projects, and time for his passions for camping and fishing.
Of course, we have collected antiques forever, and the B&B provides a wonderful display of our extensive antique collections centered around an early Americana and country story theme. We always enjoy sharing with our guests the many stories that accompany collecting such unique treasures. When you come for a romantic visit to Idaho and the Great Inland Northwest, come and see us!
