There are lots of possibilities that we would be happy to arrange. WeddingsAmerican Country is an ideal location for weddings from 10 to 25 people maximum for indoor weddings and up to 50 guests for an outdoor event. From the most intimate affair to the most elaborate…. Our 5 acre facility includes several locations for the outdoor wedding of your dreams…..a beautiful gazebo, a wrap around porch, and two patios. There are areas for your caterers to set up their tents, and areas for your guests to enjoy a sit down meal, and dancing under the stars. In the spring, our flower filled gardens and expansive lawns can provide you with the perfect backdrop! Imagine relaxing together in a Jacuzzi tub for two sipping complimentary champagne and eating chocolate dipped strawberries while the bubbles give rise to your dreams. Rinse off in the oversized tile shower then slip into our warm robes to relax. Enjoy the romance of the in room fireplace as you sink into the luxurious king-sized bed. Gaze out upon the rolling hills as you start the first day of your wonderful future together. Attention ladies who love to be pampered! You won’t want to miss this wonderful opportunity to spoil yourself and indulge in some long overdue rest and relaxation! Imagine spending an afternoon and evening lounging in our lush warm furnished robes, (all you need bring are your slippers and pajamas) as you are treated like royalty. Your spa party begins as you enter the door at 4:00 p.m. and continues until the party is over the following day at 11:00 a.m. You will enjoy our delightful beverages, and wonderful munchies to enjoy to your heart's content throughout the evening. All prices are per person for double occupancy, so bring your friend, mother, daughter, co-worker etc. Afternoon TeasAfternoon teas are a tradition that goes back to the late 1700’s. At that time in England only 2 meals a day were served, breakfast, served quite early in the morning and dinner, served quite late in the evening. This time lapse between meals led Anna, the 7th Duchess of Bedford, to invent afternoon tea. Her invitations to grand tea parties with friends soon led other hostesses to quickly incorporate her ideas and tea became a very popular afternoon event. Today, different versions of High Tea can be found worldwide. Here at American Country Bed and Breakfast we strive to keep the tradition alive. Whether you are treating a friend, celebrating a birthday, charming your sweetheart or simply entertaining guests with that little something different, tea at American Country is an enchanting way to spend the best part of an afternoon! The first Wednesday of most months, is set aside from 3-5 p.m., for those desiring to enjoy extreme pampering. Our guests are treated to delectable edibles from savories of tiny sandwiches and appetizers; scones with jams and Devonshire cream to sweets of pastries, cakes, cookies or shortbreads; and of course, teas. Perhaps an exclusive trunk jewelry or fashion show may be scheduled at your request. Many of our teas are themed. Select a hat or tiara and join us. All this while the soothing sounds of instrumental music flow through your afternoon experience. Surely this event completes your recipe for happiness!
